Former I.O.I member and actress Kang Mina is wrapping up her contract with current agency Jellyfish.
A representative from Jellyfish stated on the 15th to Xportsnews, “Kang Mina’s exclusive contract with us will come to an end at the end of June. Both parties have concluded not to renew the contract.”
Earlier, there were reports that Kang Mina had signed an exclusive contract with StoryJCompany, which houses actors such as Kim Tae-hee, Seo In-guk, and Oh Yeon-seo. Regarding this, the StoryJCompany side stated on the same day, “We had a meeting with Kang Mina, but no specific details have been determined.”
Kang Mina debuted as a member of the project group I.O.I after appearing on Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 1” in 2016. She later joined the girl group Gugudan within her agency Jellyfish and actively pursued her career as a singer. After Gugudan disbanded, she continued her activities as an actress.
