On that day, during a Zoom call interview on ‘Good Day New York,’ the two MCs, Ryan Kristafer and Bianca Peters, mentioned, “Monsta X has already achieved significant success on foreign charts with songs like ‘WHO DO U LOVE?’ and ‘SOMEONE’S SOMEONE.’ Shownu, who has returned after completing his military service, and Hyungwon, who produced the unit, are gearing up for a US visit with performances. When asked about their thoughts on forming the first Monsta X unit eight years after debut and what makes this unit special, Shownu and Hyungwon expressed, “We hope fans will like the unit we worked hard to prepare for. We tried to show a different side from Monsta X, as the unit concept is unique.”
Particularly, for their first unit debut album ‘THE UNSEEN,’ Shownu took on the role of producing the title track ‘Love Me A Little’ and the included song ‘Roll With Me,’ showcasing his musical abilities. When asked where he draws inspiration from during the production process, he replied, “I usually get inspiration from movies or dramas.”
Shownu, who participated in choreographing the title track, mentioned, “I wanted to express restrained emotions,” and attracted attention with the highlighted choreography. He also added about his thoughts on returning after military service, “I wanted to come back after a long time and show a good image.”
Shownu and Hyungwon, through performances such as the ‘KCON LA 2023,’ and the ‘KRAZY K-POP SUPER CONCERT,’ will meet global fans for the first time as a unit. Shownu expressed excitement about the meeting with global fans, saying, “It’s been a long time since we met fans, so I want to greet them warmly and show a great stage.”
Shownu and Hyungwon, who formed Monsta X’s first subunit within the group after 8 years since debut, received a great response from global fans with their album ‘THE UNSEEN,’ released on the 25th of last month.
