G-Dragon has increased anticipation for BIGBANG’s comeback.
The 2025 Melon Music Awards (The 17th Melon Music Awards, hereafter ‘MMA2025’) took place on the 20th at the Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome, with actors Bae Hyun-sung and Jung Ji-so appearing as presenters.
G-Dragon showed exceptional momentum that day, winning the ‘Best Solo Male’ trophy after first being named among the TOP10 winners.
On stage, G-Dragon expressed gratitude, stating, “This is my first time receiving a male solo award at the MMA. I’d like to thank VIP (fandom name) once again.”
He added, “I hope to win a group award next year,” a mention of BIGBANG that drew enthusiastic cheers from fans.
Earlier, at an encore concert held from the 12th to the 14th, G-Dragon had directly mentioned activity plans, saying, “Next year, I will celebrate the 20th anniversary with BIGBANG. We start warming up in April,” which raised expectations.
Meanwhile, the ‘2025 Melon Music Awards’ featured performances from G-DRAGON, Jay Park, 10CM, Zico, EXO, WOODZ, JENNIE, aespa, IVE, Han Roro, BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, PLAVE, NCT WISH, ILLIT, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, ALLDAY PROJECT, IDID, and ALPHA DRIVE ONE.
