On December 22, dancer Cha Hyun-seung announced his full recovery from leukemia, exclaiming, “Everyone!! I’m cured!” He expressed his overwhelming emotions, saying, “This seemingly endless battle has finally come to an end. I didn’t even dare to hope for this day, but it feels like getting a Christmas gift.”
He also extended a message of support to patients battling illness, stating, “I sincerely pray that you do not let go of your smiles and hope, even though it is exhausting and tough.”
In response to Cha Hyun-seung’s recovery, Hani commented, “Congratulations! Wishing you a path filled with flowers.” Hong Seok-cheon shared his joy, stating, “Such great news,” and Kang Jae-jun humorously added, “Hyun-seung, this is amazing, let’s go running.”
Cha had revealed his leukemia diagnosis in September. After being suddenly admitted to the emergency room in June and undergoing six months of dedicated treatment, he has now been declared cancer-free. His candid sharing of his grueling treatment journey on YouTube garnered many warm congratulatory messages.
This year, actor Jin Tae-hyun also regained his health after undergoing thyroid cancer surgery in June.
Regarding the surgery, Jin Tae-hyun shared, “Fortunately, there was no spread, and the surgery went very cleanly.” He added, “I’m not receiving chemotherapy. There are no issues with my vocal cords or voice,” reassuring fans of his recovery without significant aftereffects.
Even while battling cancer, he continued his passion for marathons, reassuring fans with updates on his healthy lifestyle.
Actor Kim Woo-bin was previously diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer but has since recovered his health through treatment.
Reflecting on the past, Kim Woo-bin confessed, “When doctors told me in the hospital, ‘you might have as little as six months,’ it was shocking and terrifying. I wished it was a dream.”
After overcoming nasopharyngeal cancer, Kim Woo-bin reportedly marked a new chapter in his life by marrying his long-time partner, Shin Min-a, on the 20th.
