IU Reflects on Six-Award Win at AAA Ceremony

Singer IU shared her thoughts and experiences after clinching six awards at the 2025 Asia Artist Awards (AAA).

On the 23rd, a video titled ‘[IU TV] Whispering Vlog on the Plane | AAA 2025 Behind-the-Scenes’ appeared on IU’s official YouTube channel, ‘이지금 [IU Official]’.

The video captured IU’s journey to the Asia Artist Awards (AAA), held on the 6th in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. IU traveled to Kaohsiung with actors Moon Sori and Park Bo Gum, her co-stars in the Netflix drama ‘You Have Done Well’.

The following day, when the crew asked about her experience flying with her close colleagues, IU recounted with a laugh, “Everyone was really quiet on the plane. Most of them seemed to be asleep. I was awake by myself, eating and filming, and whenever I made eye contact with the actors, I pretended to be asleep again.”

At the Kaohsiung National Stadium on the awards day, IU and actor Park Bo Gum coordinated their movements for the ceremony. When Park Bo Gum inquired about IU’s costume concept, she quipped, “I’m a zebra,” eliciting laughter. Park Bo Gum then responded, “I’m a prince on a white horse,” fostering a friendly atmosphere.

Following the ceremony, IU shared her reflections on the AAA. She stated, “I received so many awards, taking home six crowns.” She added, “This is my first time receiving so many awards, not only at the AAA but across all award ceremonies I’ve attended.” She continued, “While the awards were wonderful, the ceremony itself was incredibly enjoyable. Watching the performances, I found myself wondering most, ‘Could I do it that well?'”

IU also extended her gratitude to her fans, UAENA. “UAENA was everywhere. It was really reassuring,” she said. She added, “I worried that my numerous acceptance speeches might have been boring, but I sincerely thank everyone for the enthusiastic applause and cheers.”
