Taipei was immersed in the ‘Golden Disc Awards’.

On the 10th, the ’40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit’ concluded at the Taipei Dome. Tickets for all 35,000 seats sold out as soon as they became available, demonstrating music fans’ strong interest in the ‘Golden Disc Awards’.

Various ‘Golden Disc Awards’ promotions took place throughout Taipei, heightening expectations. From the 8th to the 10th, the Taipei Dome’s outer wall displayed a media facade featuring the rebranded ‘Golden Disc Awards’ emblem.

During the same period, profiles of 18 performing artists and five presenters—including Song Joong-ki, Byeon Woo-seok, Ahn Hyo-seop, Greg Han, and Jolin Tsai—along with two MCs, Sung Si-kyung and Moon Ga-young, wrapped the pillars of Taipei Dome, totaling 25 participants. Flags featuring the artists who performed at the ‘Golden Disc Awards’ fluttered along the roads around Taipei Dome.

At major public transport facilities in Taipei, promotional videos for the ’40th Golden Disc Awards’, which collaborated with Taipei and featured Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, Cortis, and Le Sserafim, were displayed. Fans enjoyed taking commemorative photos at various ‘Golden Disc’ promotions before and after the performances, soaking in the excitement of the festival.

Meanwhile, at the ’40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit’, Stray Kids received the Grand Prize in the album category, G-Dragon in the digital music category, and the newly established Artist of the Year trophy went to Jennie. Naver Chzzk exclusively live-streamed the ceremony, and it will be broadcast on delay on JTBC2 and JTBC4 at 2 p.m. on the 17th.
