Former NewJeans member Daniel greeted fans through a live broadcast, but only spoke about the lawsuit in English, causing some disappointment.
On the 12th, Daniel conducted a live broadcast through a new SNS account.
Daniel, tearful from the broadcast’s start, expressed, “I’m already tearing up. This moment of greeting feels a bit unfamiliar. To say you waited isn’t enough; Bunnies (NewJeans fandom name) remained steadfast. That warmth will last a long time.”
Most of the content was the same in Korean and English. However, references to the lawsuit were made exclusively in English, prompting speculation that this was a deliberate act given the issue’s sensitivity.
In English, he said, “In time, I will tell you all about the lawsuit and everything you are curious about,” adding, “I fought until the end to be with the members. They are part of me.”

Since it was the first live broadcast after the news of NewJeans’ departure, there was considerable attention, especially on the ongoing lawsuit, but some expressed disappointment as he only mentioned the details in English.
In closing, Daniel emphasized, “I can state this clearly. There is always NewJeans in a corner of my heart. Even if we are in slightly different places, with the same heart, we remain one Bunnies.”
Meanwhile, ADOR notified Daniel of the termination of his exclusive contract on the 29th of last month. Following last year’s court ruling affirming the validity of the exclusive contract, Haerin and Hyein expressed their intention to return, Hanni confirmed her return, and Minji’s status remains under discussion.
Previously, ADOR stated, “Regarding the individual in Daniel’s family responsible for causing this dispute and the delay in NewJeans’ departure and return, along with former representative Min Hee-jin, we intend to hold them legally accountable.” In addition, ADOR filed a claim for damages of about 43.1 billion KRW against Daniel, and Daniel has also appointed legal representatives to respond.
