BTS Returns for Massive World Tour Across 34 Cities, Including Goyang and Busan

방탄소년단

BTS’s tour is set to begin this April. This world tour marks their first large-scale performance in about four years since the ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE’ concluded in Las Vegas, USA, in 2022.

On the 14th, BTS announced their new world tour by releasing a ‘BTS WORLD TOUR’ poster on the global fan platform, Weverse. The tour will kick off in Goyang, South Korea, and cover North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. As of now, 79 performances across 34 cities have been scheduled, making it the largest number of shows for a single K-pop artist’s tour. Additional dates in Japan and the Middle East are expected to be announced, further expanding the tour’s scale.

The concerts will open spectacularly at the Goyang Sports Complex over three days: April 9, 11, and 12. They will meet fans in Busan on June 12 and 13. The latter date, June 13, marks BTS’s debut anniversary, promising a special moment to share with fans.

The North American tour will start in Tampa on April 25-26 and span 28 shows across 12 cities. BTS will perform at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, which will be the first and largest-scale K-pop concerts ever held in these cities. They will also perform at Stanford Stadium, becoming the second artists after Coldplay to do so. Additionally, they will headline at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, the world’s largest domed stadium by capacity, and the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, making them the first Korean artists to do so. In June and July, they will head to Europe for 10 shows across five cities, including London and Paris, and will hold their first exclusive concerts in Madrid and Brussels.

The tour will also visit five South American cities, including São Paulo and Buenos Aires, with plans for further expansion into the Middle East. This shows that BTS’s popularity is extending globally, not limited to specific regions. The tour promises extraordinary production, featuring 360-degree stages to provide an immersive experience for the audience.

Ahead of the world tour, BTS will release their fifth full-length album with 14 tracks on March 20. This will be their first group comeback in about 3 years and 9 months. The members plan to express the raw emotions and thoughts they have accumulated during their journey, showcasing ‘the present BTS.’
