
As BTS announced their world tour plans for the first time in four years, reports indicate accommodation prices in concert host cities have soared unexpectedly.
On January 14, BTS unveiled the grand scale of their ‘BTS WORLD TOUR’, which will include 79 performances across 34 cities.
The concert series will kick off in Goyang, South Korea, on April 9, 11, and 12, then continue through Tokyo, Japan, and North America, before returning to Busan on June 12 and 13. Particularly significant is the June 13 performance in Busan, coinciding with BTS’s debut anniversary.


Following the news, hotel availability in Busan quickly dwindled, and prices surged significantly. Prices at some accommodations more than doubled compared to usual rates. During the concert period, a suite at a luxury hotel in Busan soared to 785,000 won, more than double the 298,000 won from the previous week.

At the time, the Busan government formed an inspection team to address the exorbitant pricing by some establishments.
