ENHYPEN, fresh off their grand prize win, is making their highly anticipated comeback, expressing strong confidence in their new album.
On the afternoon of the 16th, ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki) marked their return after approximately seven months with their seventh mini-album, ‘THE SIN: VANISH’. Before the official release, the group discussed their past activities and the new album during a round-table interview.
Last year, ENHYPEN was exceptionally active, achieving remarkable success. They became triple million sellers with their second studio album ‘ROMANCE: UNTOLD’ and earned their third double million-selling title with their sixth mini-album, ‘DARK BLOOD’.
The group showcased their powerful energy on stage at Coachella, America’s largest music festival, and collected three grand prize trophies at music award ceremonies, notably the MAMA Awards’ Fan’s Choice of the Year.
Now operating at an even higher level, ENHYPEN is kicking off their activities for the new year in January, exuding immense confidence in their latest album. Jay stated, “We prepared vigorously for this comeback. It’s an album filled with new challenges and attempts.” He added, “Just like the title track ‘Fatal Love’, we sharpened our skills in preparation.”
Sunoo expressed, “Making a fresh start in January feels good.” Sunghoon noted, “Not only the title track but also the accompanying B-sides are exceptional.” He added, “We were grateful to receive three grand prizes last year, and this year, we’ve worked hard to present an album worthy of those accolades.”
Referring to their return after seven months, Jungwon expressed satisfaction, stating, “After a long break, we’ve returned with an album that feels as satisfying as a full album.” Heeseung noted, “From preparation to promotion, we have worked hard to show a new side of ourselves,” urging fans for their continued interest.
Jake emphasized his satisfaction with the album, stating, “It’s great to start 2026 with an album we’ve prepared diligently for. So far, it’s the one we’re most confident about.” Ni-ki also expressed, “This is the first album since our debut that we’re this satisfied with.” He added, “We put in so much effort. Every piece of content perfectly aligns with the concept, so we ask for much interest and love.”
The album, which ENHYPEN members are confidently showcasing, is a concept album where all tracks, lyrics, and sounds are interconnected. The seventh mini-album marks the beginning of their new series, ‘THE SIN’, inspired by the theme of sin. It tells the story of lovers who break taboos in a society where humans and vampires coexist, eloping in love, and promises deep engagement through its immersive storytelling.
The title track, ‘Fatal Love’, is a hip-hop song that reflects the vampire couple’s confidence in facing any threats. Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko contributed to the lyrics.
Regarding the ‘high completion’ and ‘satisfaction,’ Jake shared, “I felt the songs, choreography, and all elements achieved a high level of completion during the production process. We released various videos during the pre-comeback promotional stage, and it’s the first time we’ve revealed so many of the B-sides. The tracks are excellent, and we were confident, so we wanted to release them quickly,” he explained, revealing the reason for their assurance. He also mentioned, “We collaborated with various brands and directors, undertaking many new challenges.”
Ni-ki reiterated, “Every song on this album is exceptional, without exception. I even wondered if an album like this could come again; the tracks are so good, and the choreography, music video, and all content are satisfying, making us confident.” He added, raising expectations, “Throughout the preparation, I’ve been eager to showcase it as soon as possible.”
