Danielle, who was expelled from the group NewJeans, expressed her regret to fans.
On the 16th, Danielle posted a lengthy letter on her personal account, stating, “The reason I am writing this is because I want to deeply embrace the new chapter and new beginnings we will face together.”
She conveyed her feelings after departing from NewJeans, saying, “Letting go of the past won’t be easy, but I want to focus on the truly precious things like our hearts, dreams, and the warm days we will encounter ahead.”
Danielle also expressed gratitude towards the fandom Bunnies: “Your love helped me endure through many difficulties. It gave me the strength to rise again when I lost courage, and made me realize what’s truly important: sincerity, resilience, and the courage to be honest with oneself.”
Danielle also addressed the fans’ confusion: “Many Bunnies might feel confused or curious now. I can’t say everything now, but one thing is certain: where my heart lies has not changed.”
She expressed affection for the NewJeans members, stating, “Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein are my second family. Though the time we spent together was cut short, nothing can separate us. That precious bond is the only one of its kind in the world.”
Additionally, she conveyed her determination by saying, “There may be difficulties ahead, but we will protect each other and move forward. That is what matters most to me.”
Meanwhile, Danielle was notified by the agency ADOR on the 29th of last month about the termination of her exclusive contract. After the court ruling on the contract’s validity, NewJeans members’ choices were divided. Haerin and Hyein first expressed their intention to return, followed by Hanni, while Minji is still in discussion.
Currently, Danielle is involved in a 43.1 billion won lawsuit for damages and penalties. ADOR announced, “We intend to hold legally accountable a member of Danielle’s family and former director Min Hee-jin, who have significant responsibility for causing the dispute and delaying NewJeans’ departure and return.” Danielle has appointed a legal representative to respond to the lawsuit.
