Broadcaster Dex and Blackpink’s Jennie will appear together on the variety show ‘Manito Club.’
The new MBC variety show, set to premiere on February 1st, has released its first teaser video, hinting at the first Manito mission for its participants.
‘Manito Club’ is an undercover gift variety show centered on the concept of sharing received items with others. Participants are randomly assigned a Manito relationship and must secretly deliver gifts without revealing their identities.
The first teaser shows Jennie, Dex, Choo Sung-hoon, Noh Hong-chul, and Lee Su-ji engaging in their initial Manito activities, drawing attention. Noh Hong-chul looks around curiously wondering, “Who will be my Manito?” while Dex is curious about what gift he might receive.
The show initially promises a warm gift exchange atmosphere, but an unexpected tense situation arises, sparking curiosity about the cast’s reactions.
Participants, tasked with the rule “never reveal your identity,” engage in what seems like a chase to keep their identities hidden.
Behind the wheel, Jennie exclaims, “We need to start immediately!” revealing a side completely different from her stage persona. Dex, too, commands, “Get in the car now! Can you run?” taking on the role of a mission commander.
After completing their Manito tasks, the show will move into the ‘Secret Manito’ phase, where they operate as a single team rather than individuals, expanding their undercover operations to deliver a special day to more people.
‘Manito Club’ airs on February 1st at 6:10 PM.
