The Goyang leg, marking the start of BTS’s world tour, has completely sold out.
BTS is set to host the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN GOYANG’ over three days—April 9, 11, and 12—at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium. Fan club pre-sale tickets, which went on sale on January 22, were entirely sold out for all three shows.
Due to overwhelming demand, BTS added one more show each in Tampa, Florida, and at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California. Notably, BTS will be the second act to hold a solo concert at Stanford Stadium, following Coldplay.
The ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG” will kick off in Goyang and continue with dates at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on April 17 and 18. The tour will then proceed to North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. This expansive tour will encompass 81 shows across 34 cities, marking the largest number of performances in K-pop tour history.
Global interest in BTS is widespread. On the 19th, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum welcomed the concert, calling it a “historic moment.” BTS’s Mexico concerts are scheduled for May 7, 9, and 10 at Estadio GNP Seguros.
The tour has also garnered attention from major international media. Forbes dubbed it a “new standard in the history of Korean artist tours,” while USA Today reported that “another historical moment is anticipated with this tour.”
Meanwhile, BTS will release their fifth full-length album ‘ARIRANG’ on March 20. The album will feature 14 tracks exploring universal emotions such as identity, longing, and deep love, delivering authentic music that embodies ‘the current BTS.’
