YG Entertainment is intensifying its efforts to discover talents that will shape the future of the global K-pop market, under the leadership of Chief Producer Yang Hyun-suk.
On the 5th, YG Entertainment posted the ‘2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION: GO! DEBUT’ on its official blog. Following the official poster announcement, a video showcasing the debut evolution of Treasure and BABYMONSTER added to the excitement.
The video shows members selected as YG trainees undergoing systematic training and numerous evaluations, gradually transforming into complete artists. Ultimately, they captivate audiences as they take the concert stage to fans’ loud cheers.
YG Entertainment has been at the forefront of the K-pop wave, producing numerous artists who perform globally. Recently, they have further enhanced their training system, significantly reducing debut time as they accelerate the launch of the next generation of groups.
According to YG, “As the title ‘SPECIAL AUDITION’ suggests, this audition has significant differences. Unlike before, Chief Producer Yang Hyun-suk will personally oversee the document review, the first step of the audition, demonstrating his strong determination to discover new stars following BIGBANG and BLACKPINK.”
Meanwhile, applications for the ‘2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION: GO! DEBUT’ are open until February 28 through the YG audition website or the QR code on the poster. Anyone born between 2007 and 2015, regardless of gender or nationality, is eligible to apply. Applicants can choose one field they’re confident in, such as singing, rapping, dancing, visual, or talent, and must present their potential in a video of less than one minute.
