CJ ENM has announced the dates and location for the 2026 ‘MAMA AWARDS’.
The ‘2026 MAMA AWARDS’ will take place over two days, on November 20 and 21, at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan. Leveraging nearly 30 years of production expertise, the ‘MAMA AWARDS’ will also air live on digital platforms like Mnet Plus.
This year, the ‘MAMA AWARDS’ aims for another evolution. CJ ENM is preparing a variety of events that will allow the global fandom to engage both online and offline.
Based on its core value of ‘Music Makes ONE’, the award show will also feature various boundary-breaking expansion programs in addition to the main ceremony.
The ‘MAMA AWARDS’ began in 1999 as the ‘Video Music Awards’. It transitioned into Asia’s first music awards ceremony in 2009 and solidified its global presence through rebranding in 2022.
In 2024, it became the first K-POP awards ceremony to successfully hold relay events in both Los Angeles, USA, and Osaka, Japan. In 2025, it won the Best General Entertainment Programme at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA), recognized as Asia’s largest content awards.
A representative from CJ ENM stated, “To set another turning point by the end of this year, we have been actively preparing for the awards ceremony early on. We aim to offer a unique experience with unprecedented shows and new collaborative programs, showcasing what only the ‘MAMA AWARDS’ can offer, leveraging the expertise accumulated over the past 27 years.”
