Singer and actress IU recently discussed her younger brother, a topic that has consistently garnered significant attention.
On April 4, the YouTube channel ‘DdeunDdeun’ released a video titled ‘Destiny is an Excuse.’ In the video, IU and actor Byeon Woo-seok appeared as guests in anticipation of the fictional MBC drama ’21st Century Grand Prince Consort.’
Host Yoo Jae-suk commented on Byeon Woo-seok’s endearing quality, stating, “Byeon Woo-seok possesses a youthful charm.” IU agreed, adding, “He’s older than me, but I find him very cute.”
IU then asked, “Doesn’t everyone around us say that?” Byeon Woo-seok mentioned his sister, who is five years his junior, remarking, “I am quite serious and dedicated. Perhaps it’s because I’m the youngest.”
IU also brought up her brother, who is four years younger than her.
When Yoo Jae-suk inquired about her brother’s recent activities, IU replied, “He’s been very busy lately, establishing himself professionally.”
IU added, “I hardly ever get to see him these days because he’s busy making his own money and acting proud.” Yoo Jae-suk jokingly asked, “Is he implying he’s not the same as before, not just receiving an allowance?” IU clarified, “He’s earning his own living now.”
Yoo Jae-suk continued, “Although I’ve never met him, please convey my regards. I feel an internal connection with him.” A surprised Byeon Woo-seok responded, “You’ve never met him? I thought you had.”
IU revealed a strong resemblance to her brother, humorously adding that his face is what she looks like when she’s not feeling her best, showcasing her playful sisterly side.
She candidly added, “I can’t deny our resemblance,” drawing laughter from the hosts.
