Disney+ has released a highlight video for the much-anticipated series ’21st Century Grand Princess’, set to premiere on the 10th, heightening expectations.
’21st Century Grand Princess,’ starring IU and Byun Woo-seok, presents an intriguing premise with its 21st-century constitutional monarchy setting, and is poised to captivate global audiences with its chemistry and visuals even before its release.
On the 26th of last month, Disney+ Korea released its third teaser, which has already amassed nearly 2 million views in just 11 days, indicating its status as a highly anticipated series. Globally, fans are eagerly engaging with the content, suggesting it will be one of this spring’s standout productions.
The highlight video enticingly showcases the journey of IU’s and Byun Woo-seok’s characters as they decide to enter a contract marriage, sparking curiosity.
The characters include Seong Hee-joo (played by IU), a woman of wealth and talent who nonetheless faces discrimination due to her commoner status, and Lee On-daegun (played by Byun Woo-seok), who struggles with political challenges while serving as regent. Both find themselves seeking an escape, adding intrigue to their intertwined fates.
