The group Wanna One reunited with their fandom, Wannable, in Sangam-dong, the place where they first met fans nine years ago, to mark the grand opening of their new reality series.

Global K-POP content platform Mnet Plus announced that Wanna One held an opening ceremony for their new reality series ‘WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base’ on the morning of the 6th at DMC Culture Park in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

A huge turnout of fans eagerly awaiting Wanna One created a heated atmosphere at the event. The nine members (Park Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young, Ha Sung-woon) appeared on a blue carpet, allowing for close interaction with fans and instantly filling the scene with explosive cheers.

Yoon Ji-sung and Lee Dae-hwi hosted the event, maintaining smooth proceedings through witty interactions. Overwhelmed with emotion, the members took to the stage with the greeting “All I Wanna Do, Wanna One!” and received enthusiastic responses from the fans filling the venue. Many global fans who couldn’t attend in person watched the live broadcast on the ‘Mnet Plus’ official Instagram account.

The members also expressed affectionate thoughts for Kang Daniel and Lai Kuan-lin, who could not attend. Using prepared cutouts, the members conveyed the absent members’ voices, stating, “Our two friends are with us in spirit, so please give them your support,” reaffirming the significance of the ‘complete 11 members.’

The ‘Ask Anything GO’ corner, which featured answers to questions submitted beforehand through Mnet Plus, drew particularly warm reactions. The members unexpectedly showcased the 2026 version of the ‘Pick Me’ choreography and excited the crowd. They demonstrated their unchanged entertainment sense and chemistry by parodying Park Ji-hoon’s famous lines from the popular movie ‘King and the Clown’ and presenting the latest trending challenges.

Towards the end, the members shared heartfelt messages with fans about their long-awaited reunion. Hwang Min-hyun expressed, “It feels refreshing to call the name Wannable again,” adding, “Just like the saying ‘When Wannables gather, Wanna One gathers too,’ I’m happy we’re together again. I hope we have many more great moments together starting today.”

Park Woo-jin noted, “It’s been a long time since our last concert, and the rain makes it even more special,” and expressed gratitude for the early morning gathering. Kim Jae-hwan thanked fans for gathering despite the bad weather, saying, “I hope we can walk together towards eternity starting today, and I hope Wannable will accompany us on that path.”

Ha Sung-woon commented, “It’s like a dream to have gathered again after so much time,” thanking fans for their long-standing support. Bae Jin-young stated, “It brings back many old memories and a complex mix of emotions,” promising to create more great memories.

Park Ji-hoon said, “We reunited to create new memories and emotions,” and promised to do their best to create fun and beautiful times. Ong Seong-wu expressed happiness in meeting members and Wannable after a long time, hoping to meet again soon.

Lee Dae-hwi expressed gratitude, impressed by the turnout and affirmed, “Wanna One is just beginning.” Yoon Ji-sung concluded by recalling their first meeting when the cherry blossoms were falling, hoping to create many good memories together moving forward.

Online responses were equally fervent. Keywords related to ‘Wanna One’ ranked high in X (formerly Twitter) real-time trends, spreading quickly across various communities and social media platforms and proving its high level of buzz.

Meanwhile, Wanna One’s new journey ‘WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base’ will premiere on the 28th at 6 PM via Mnet Plus and air on Mnet at 8 PM.
