IU put an end to 9-year feud rumors by appearing on Lee Sang-soon’s radio show.
On the 8th, IU appeared as a guest on MBC FM4U’s ‘A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon’.
DJ Lee Sang-soon greeted IU, saying, “It’s been a while since we last met. We’ve called and worked together occasionally, but we’ve both been busy. We’ve been in Seoul for quite some time, but we were both busy. It’s nice to meet again through this opportunity.”
IU mentioned that she immediately decided to appear on the show without hesitation, looking forward to meeting “the boss” and referencing their past connection on ‘Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast’.
On this day, IU also promoted the MBC drama ’21st Century Crown Princess’ ahead of its broadcast.
Lee Sang-soon commented, “Last time, I cried a lot while watching ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ with Park Bo-gum alongside my wife. We talked and cried about it because it was so enjoyable. So, I’m looking forward to this work as well.” He also mentioned Lee Hyori.
When IU asked if he would watch it, Lee Sang-soon replied, “Of course.”
IU continued, “It airs at 9 p.m. on April 10th and 11th. This week only, it’s at 9:40 p.m. You promised to watch it. I know you go to bed early,” to which Lee Sang-soon jokingly replied, “We usually sleep around 9:20 p.m. But we can make an exception on weekends. We should watch it.”
Previously, IU appeared on JTBC’s ‘Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast,’ forming a connection with Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon. However, rumors of a feud emerged after it was revealed that they unfollowed each other on social media.
Additionally, IU invited ‘Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast’ cast members to her concert, but Lee Hyori did not attend. Likewise, IU did not appear on ‘Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet,’ leading to further speculation.
Nevertheless, Lee Hyori, appearing on last year’s YouTube web show ‘Pinggyeog,’ mentioned that not many people consistently care for them, but “Hong Hyun-hee, Jasson, Yoo Jae-suk, and IU” do, putting the rumors to rest.
The announcement of IU’s appearance on Lee Sang-soon’s radio show further drew attention to their relationship.
