IVE member Jang Wonyoung showcased her fluent English skills during a meeting with Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
On the 24th, Vogue Korea’s YouTube channel uploaded a video titled, “Why Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Jang Wonyoung Gathered at ‘Vogue Korea’? | LIFE IN LOOKS.”

That day, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, the leading actresses of “The Devil Wears Prada,” met with IVE member Jang Wonyoung.
Jang Wonyoung, who conducted the interview in English, introduced herself and stated, “It is an honor to be here as a representative of Korea.”
Praising Jang Wonyoung’s beauty, Anne Hathaway remarked warmly, “It must be hard to do an interview in English, and thank you for doing so. We haven’t had the opportunity to learn Korean yet.”

The three discussed their thoughts on the outfits in the movie and shared stories, including one about paparazzi capturing them falling over on set.
Additionally, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep admired Jang Wonyoung in her photo shoots, saying she looked “so beautiful” and “like a flower.”

Jang Wonyoung’s remark about being born in 2004 amused Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, who noted that the movie “The Devil Wears Prada” was released in 2006.
Meryl Streep asked, “Weren’t you a baby when the movie came out?” Jang Wonyoung replied, “I was born in 2006, so I was two years old. I watched the movie in sixth grade. I am a 2004-liner.”
In response, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep expressed their amazement, saying, “So cute” and “You were born two years before we made the movie.”
