EXO Confirms Full-group Comeback on July 10th

Group EXO is set to make a comeback in July.

Their agency, SM Entertainment, stated to Xportsnews on the 9th, “EXO’s 7th full-length album is scheduled to be released on July 10th. The album-related promotions will proceed as planned, as we have prepared diligently. We will soon announce the detailed schedule.”

EXO was preparing for a full-group comeback in celebration of their 11th debut anniversary this year. However, the full-group activities were difficult due to the enlistment of Xiumin, D.O., Suho, Chen, Chanyeol, and Baekhyun. EXO was originally planning to make a comeback as a complete group for the first time in about five years since the release of their 5th full-length album repackage, ‘Love Shot,’ in December 2018. But with Kai’s enlistment, they will be promoting as a group of seven.

It is expected that Kai’s voice will be heard in this album as well. Kai is currently serving as a social service worker as part of his mandatory military service.

Furthermore, ChenBaekXi (Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin), who have been involved in a dispute with SM Entertainment over settlement issues, will also participate in the comeback without any changes. On the 1st of last month, ChenBaekXi claimed that SM had forced them into a “slave contract” and announced the termination of their exclusive contracts.

However, both the agency and ChenBaekXi have expressed a strong determination to participate in EXO’s activities, stating that they will proceed with the filming of the music video with all seven members as planned.

The long-awaited comeback has drawn the attention of global fans.

Meanwhile, since their debut in 2012, EXO has received a lot of love from the public through numerous hit songs such as “Growl,” “Overdose,” “Call Me Baby,” “Ko Ko Bop,” and “Tempo.”
