The global audition program ‘Nizi Project’ Season 2 is returning.

On the 6th, Japanese terrestrial broadcaster Nippon TV’s program ‘Day Day.’ announced, “On July 21, a global audition program called ‘Nizi Project’ Season 2, which is a collaboration between JYP Entertainment, the top entertainment company in Korea, and Sony Music, the largest record company in Japan, will begin.”

‘Nizi Project’ is a project that started based on the know-how of Park Jin-young(JYP), the representative K-pop producer, and JYP’s systematic system that has produced several prominent K-pop groups. In 2020, it gave birth to the girl group NiziU.

NiziU has been making various first and best records in the Japanese music industry, advertising industry, and performance industry since their pre-debut, and they have gained a solid and consistent popularity. In ‘Nizi Project’ Season 2, a new boy group will be formed, following the fame of NiziU’s “Nizi Syndrome,” and viewers will be able to witness the process leading up to their debut.

The global audition for ‘Nizi Project’ Season 2 started in July 2021 and took place in a total of 11 cities, including Nagoya, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Sapporo, Okinawa, Tokyo, Sendai, Kobe, New York, Los Angeles, and Seoul, with over 10,000 applicants.

In order to create a boy group that possesses not only dance, vocal, and star quality but also musicality, a new category of songwriting and composition was added, and a wider range of talents were secured. Park Jin-young(JYP), the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of JYP, personally met the participants, demonstrating his exceptional insight and inspiring the dreams of the boys, just like in Season 1.

‘Nizi Project’ Season 2 will be first released on July 21 at 10 p.m. through JYP’s official YouTube channel and will be broadcast worldwide every Friday at the same time. In Japan, it will be available for viewing on the online video platform Hulu.
