It has been revealed that BTS member Suga’s mother is the owner of a building worth approximately $17.3 million.
According to a media report on the 4th, Suga’s mother, Mrs. A, owns land and a building located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with an estimated market value of about 17.3 billion won.
The property underwent ownership change in December 2022, followed by two years of construction, and was completed this year. It is reported that Mrs. A, through the corporation Na-Geum Co., Ltd., where she is the representative, purchased the land and building for around 10.8 billion won in 2022.
Subsequently, the existing building was demolished, and construction began to rebuild it as a building with a rooftop spanning two underground floors to six above-ground floors.
Suga’s brother’s restaurant has been operating on the building’s first floor since last month. A restaurant is located on the basement floor, while a beauty salon occupies the third floor. Floors four and five are also mostly occupied. Suga has reportedly visited the building recently to check for noise issues caused by construction.
The Hannam-dong location is also home to several BTS members, including Jin, RM, and Jimin, which is believed to have influenced the purchase.
Meanwhile, BTS members are known as ‘real estate moguls,’ owning various properties.
In June, Jin reportedly purchased a 243.201 sqm apartment in Hannam The Hill for 17.5 billion won. Previously, in July 2019, he bought a 233 sqm apartment for 4.49 billion won and later that year, a 206 sqm apartment for 4.27 billion won.
J-Hope, last year, acquired a luxury penthouse apartment unit in Seobinggo-dong, Yongsan, Seoul, for 12 billion won, and additionally contracted for the unit below. He also owns two luxury apartments in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
