INFINITE’s Lee Sung-yeol is set to release a special album that expresses his gratitude to his fans.
The digital single ‘Asteroid’, which will be released on the 12th, includes three tracks: the title song ‘Asteroid’, ‘One Step Closer’, and ‘DIVE’. The project is also available in a photobook album edition, adding more significance.
The title track ‘Asteroid’ delicately expresses emotions as if wavering in love, like a small star drifting in the vast universe. The softly flowing melody and whispered vocals evoke the image of an asteroid slowly orbiting and permeating one’s orbit, vividly showcasing Sung-yeol’s deepened emotions and musical uniqueness.
Management Leesang stated, “This song is a heartfelt completion of the emotions and stories Sung-yeol has cherished over time, deeply thankful for the love received from fans. His desire to genuinely convey his feelings is deeply embedded.”
Regarding the title track ‘Asteroid’, “Lee Sung-yeol personally participated in working with the composer to maintain the original charm of the song while conveying his emotions honestly to the fans,” they added.
Lee Sung-yeol expressed his sincere gratitude to fans, saying, “I can sing thanks to Inspirits and Dear Yeol who continuously listen to and share emotions with my and INFINITE’s music. I am really looking forward to the journey we’ll walk together.”
Meanwhile, Lee Sung-yeol is scheduled to hold an Asian fan meeting tour in the first half of next year.
