K-pop group CIX is disbanding after seven years.
On April 29, C9 Entertainment announced via CIX’s official fan cafe that “CIX will now cease group activities.” The agency explained, “After several months of serious and in-depth discussions with the members about continuing group activities, everyone agreed that halting the group’s operations is currently unavoidable.”
Members BX and Seunghun’s exclusive contracts are set to expire on April 30, followed by Hyunsuk’s on May 31. Yonghee voluntarily applied for military enlistment after the decision to halt group activities and will begin his service as an active-duty soldier on May 11.
C9 Entertainment stated, “We will continue practical efforts, such as maintaining communication with the members, so that the CIX brand can return with its unique music in the future.”
CIX debuted on July 21, 2019, and gained popularity for various concept songs, including ‘Movie Star,’ ‘Numb,’ ‘Cinema,’ and ‘WAVE.’ Former member Bae Jinyoung departed the group last August.

This is an announcement regarding CIX’s future activities.
CIX, who debuted on July 21, 2019, and has been with fans through various activities for the past seven years, will now cease group activities.
After several months of serious and in-depth discussions with the members on continuing group activities, everyone agreed that halting the group’s operations is currently unavoidable.
Having poured our hearts into all aspects of music, choreography, video, performances, and broadcasts under the CIX brand, both the members and the company are disheartened by this decision.
As a result, members BX and Seunghun’s exclusive contracts will conclude on April 30.
Furthermore, member Yonghee applied for voluntary military enlistment after the decision to halt group activities and will undergo basic military training starting May 11 as an active-duty soldier. His exclusive contract will terminate upon enlistment, and no official event will be held on the day of his enlistment. However, a small gathering will be arranged where fans can say goodbye to Yonghee, with details to be announced on the fan cafe later.
Regarding member Hyunsuk, we are supporting related work so that he can focus on the drama currently being filmed. His exclusive contract will conclude on May 31.
