G-DRAGON Reveals Plans for BIGBANG’s 20th Anniversary: “Warming Up from April Next Year”

G-DRAGON concluded his world tour in Seoul, marking a grand finale for his solo tour with unprecedented achievements that cemented his status as a ‘Living Legend.’

From December 12 to 14, G-DRAGON successfully wrapped up his “Übermensch” encore concert at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome. Having performed in 17 cities across 12 countries, he engaged with 825,000 fans worldwide.

During the Seoul encore concert, G-DRAGON showcased his musical journey with hits like “POWER,” “Michigo (GO),” “Crayon,” and “Crooked,” culminating in an emotionally powerful performance of “Untitled, 2014.”

The stage, especially during “HOME SWEET HOME (feat. Taeyang, Daesung),” featured surprise appearances by Taeyang and Daesung, delivering BIGBANG’s signature chemistry. The encore heightened excitement with performances of “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” and “Fool of Tears.”

G-DRAGON also surprised fans with a special challenge during “TAKE ME,” collaborating with choreographer Bada for “Smoke (Prod. Dynamicduo, Padi).”

He expressed his desire to connect closely with fans, saying, “After eight months, I’m back with an encore concert in Korea. I wanted to create a show filled with interaction.” Regarding next year’s plans, he revealed, “We’ll start warming up for BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary in April.”

The tour began in Goyang, Korea, continuing through major cities including Tokyo, Bulacan, Osaka, Macau, Sydney, Melbourne, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Newark, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Paris, and Hanoi. This large-scale solo artist tour, following years of hiatus, was unprecedented even in the domestic music scene.

The tour was especially noted for its artistic interpretation of the concept “Übermensch,” creating an immersive experience rather than just listing hit songs.

Production featured large-scale setups and a dynamic performance narrative, enhanced by a massive LED wall and evolving costumes and styling that delivered a compelling concert experience.

Responses were impressive across all cities. Tokyo and Osaka saw sold-out shows, Macau drew over 680,000 ticketing attempts, and Hanoi’s performances sold out in pre-sales.

In the U.S., the tour garnered attention from major media outlets like Forbes, with outdoor advertising showcasing G-DRAGON’s global influence.

This tour was more than just a concert; it demonstrated the expansive reach and impact of G-DRAGON, setting new standards for records and achievements.
