Actor Kim Seon-ho returns with “Can This Love Be Translated?”, set to premiere on the 16th.
The new Netflix series, “Can This Love Be Translated?”, is an unpredictable romantic comedy centered on multilingual interpreter Joo Ho-jin (played by Kim Seon-ho) who handles translations for global top star Cha Mu-hee (played by Go Yoon-jung).
Kim portrays Joo Ho-jin, a multilingual interpreter who, despite his linguistic prowess, struggles with the language of love. He showcases a serious side as Ho-jin, an interpreter proficient in six languages, including English, Japanese, and Italian. Kim also brings depth to Ho-jin’s cautious dynamics with Mu-hee, enhancing the story’s immersion.
Kim Seon-ho reportedly spared no effort in portraying a multilingual interpreter, raising anticipation. At the production press conference, he expressed his passion for the project, saying, “I play a character who speaks six languages. I familiarized myself with the script and practiced repeatedly to convey the emotions. In my spare time, I studied grammar. I practiced for about four months and continued even during filming.”
With performances refined through relentless effort, Kim Seon-ho is poised to captivate global viewers. Previously released stills garnered attention, showing Kim perfectly embodying Joo Ho-jin, from wardrobe to visual appearance. Additionally, he captivated viewers by conveying Ho-jin’s evolving emotions regarding translation and love through his expressions and gaze alone.
The trailer, in particular, showcased Kim’s complete immersion into his character, hinting at a classic “Kim Seon-ho romantic comedy” and further heightening expectations. His chemistry with Mu-hee, along with his subtle emotional performances and voice, highlight Ho-jin’s changing emotions, amplifying curiosity about the series.
Referring to “Can This Love Be Translated?” as a “gift,” Kim Seon-ho said, “It feels like the day has finally come to present this gift.” This series, which blends languages, visuals, and romantic comedy, is drawing keen interest as a comprehensive “gift set” from Kim Seon-ho.
Meanwhile, “Can This Love Be Translated?”, starring Kim Seon-ho, will be available on Netflix at 5 PM KST on the 16th.
