K-pop group Apink has earned its first music show win since their recent comeback.
Apink, consisting of members Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jung Eun-ji, Kim Nam-joo, and Oh Ha-young, secured the top spot on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown,’ which aired on the 15th. Their title track ‘Love Me More,’ from their eleventh mini-album ‘RE : LOVE,’ earned them the victory.
Upon receiving the award, Apink stated, “We are deeply grateful to our company members and staff who worked tirelessly on this album. We also thank our families and our fandom, PANDA.” They added, “It’s an honor to receive this award in our 16th year since debut. We will continue to work hard to deliver excellent performances.”
Apink delivered a ‘Love Me More’ performance that blended pure energy with classic emotions. Sporting unique and stylish looks, the group captivated audiences with dynamic choreography, expressive movements, and solid vocals, reaffirming their status as a ‘long-run icon’.
‘RE : LOVE’ commemorates Apink’s 15th anniversary, featuring well-crafted tracks that convey stories of deep love and healing. The album demonstrated its lasting global appeal by entering iTunes Top Album Charts in 19 regions and Apple Music Charts in 13 regions after its release.
After topping domestic and international music charts, the title track ‘Love Me More’ continues to gain traction, with increasing user engagement and critical acclaim as it climbs the ranks. Apink maintains energetic activities, participating in dance challenges with various artists in addition to their ‘Love Me More’ performances, which showcase a unique blend of 1990s analog machine synth sounds with their distinct group color.
Meanwhile, Apink will hold their eighth solo concert, ‘The Origin : APINK,’ on February 21 at 6 PM and February 22 at 4 PM at Seoul’s Jangchung Arena. The concert will feature a selection of songs and performances spanning Apink’s entire career, from their debut to their current journey.
