The group ENHYPEN became the most influential artist of the week in the United States.
According to the latest chart announced by Billboard on the 27th (local time), ENHYPEN (members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki) ranked first on the ‘Artist 100’.
The ‘Artist 100’ ranks artists based on a weighted score incorporating music and album sales, online streaming, radio airplay, and social media metrics. This is the first time ENHYPEN has taken the top position on this chart, which measures a pop star’s influence.
Their latest mini-album, ‘THE SIN: VANISH,’ which debuted at number 2 on this week’s ‘Billboard 200’, demonstrated a strong presence across various sub-charts. It topped the ‘Top Album Sales’, ‘Top Current Album Sales’, and ‘World Album’ charts. Additionally, the title track ‘Knife’ ranked first in ‘World Digital Song Sales’ and was listed at 62nd and 90th on the ‘Global (Excl. U.S.)’ and ‘Global 200’ charts, respectively. Billboard noted that “the tracks from ‘THE SIN: VANISH’ recorded a total of 9.51 million official streams during the tracking period, marking the group’s personal best.”
ENHYPEN also set a record by landing six consecutive albums in the ‘Top 10’ of the Billboard 200. Before ‘THE SIN: VANISH’, their mini-albums ‘MANIFESTO: DAY 1’ (6th), ‘DARK BLOOD’ (4th), ‘ORANGE BLOOD’ (4th), their studio album ‘ROMANCE: UNTOLD’ (2nd), and mini-album ‘DESIRE: UNLEASH’ (3rd) all reached the top 10. ‘THE SIN: VANISH’ secured second place, trailing A$AP Rocky’s album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ by just 1,000 copies.
With over 2.07 million copies sold in its first week, ‘THE SIN: VANISH’ became ENHYPEN’s fourth ‘double million seller’. Despite being tracked for only three days, it topped the Hanteo Chart weekly album chart (tracking period January 12~18) as well as Japan’s Line Music weekly ‘Album Top 100’ (tracking period January 14~20) and the Oricon Daily Album Ranking (January 21).
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is set to hold a fan event titled ‘VAMPIRE IS COMING’ at the COEX Auditorium in Gangnam, Seoul, on the 30th. This event will also take place in Hong Kong on the 31st and in Tokyo on February 14.
