K-pop group ONEUS is embarking on a new chapter with Be:Wave Entertainment (hereafter Be:Wave).
Be:Wave, a newly established agency, announced on the 5th that it has signed exclusive contracts with ONEUS members Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Xion. The agency stated, “We ask for much support and attention for ONEUS’s journey with Be:Wave.”
Be:Wave further explained that RBW will manage various activities and schedules for ONEUS’s single ‘ERASER’ until the 20th, after which Be:Wave will take over.
In line with the members’ wishes, Be:Wave has acquired all intellectual property rights related to ONEUS from their former agency, RBW. The company aims to provide extensive support across various fields including music, broadcasting, and performances, ensuring ONEUS’s activities proceed without limitations.
Koo Bon-young, Be:Wave’s CEO, previously worked at FNC Entertainment and RBW before founding the company. During his tenure, he earned the moniker ‘father to artists’ by overseeing the production of numerous K-pop artists, and notably contributed to ONEUS’s debut and subsequent activities.
Koo Bon-young and ONEUS, sharing a unique history, will rekindle their collaboration at Be:Wave. Koo plans to support both the group’s activities and the individual potential of each member as they embark on their future journey.
ONEUS officially debuted in January 2019 with their first mini-album ‘LIGHT US.’ The group, known for its conceptual and compelling storytelling, achieved immense popularity with hit songs like ‘Valkyrie,’ ‘Come Back Home,’ ‘Lit,’ and ‘A Song Written Easily,’ solidifying their status as ‘4th generation representative performers.’
ONEUS also made a strong impression on the 2020 Mnet show ‘Road to Kingdom,’ securing their first music show win with ‘LUNA,’ a song highlighting Korean aesthetics. They have further expanded their international presence through global tours across the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
Meanwhile, Be:Wave, which formalized its launch last June, not only signed an exclusive contract with ONEUS but also represents H.O.T’s Tony An and producer R.Tee.
