Group ATEEZ makes their first comeback since renewing their contract, embodying the original spirit from seven years ago with massive performances.
ATEEZ (Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, Jongho) held a press conference for the release of their 13th mini-album ‘Golden Hour: Part.4’ at the Grand Ballroom of Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
With this new release, ATEEZ continues their ‘Golden Hour’ series, which captures dazzling moments. The group is determined to demonstrate their commitment to moving forward and holding onto their beliefs even amidst a storm.
The title track ‘Adrenaline’ is a song that proves ATEEZ’s explosive energy still burns fiercely, much like a roaring engine. Its intense EDM sound amplifies expectations for ATEEZ, known as ‘performance powerhouses.’
All eight members unanimously chose the title track. Yeosang explained, “We wanted to showcase a powerful performance that could capture everyone’s attention. Naturally, we thought ‘Adrenaline’ would be a great choice for the title.”
ATEEZ fills the stage with 24 performers. In the music video released today, ATEEZ captivated with intense choreography and charisma. Regarding this, Yunho shared, “The choreography for this performance is full of passion, and we even practiced with an intensity reminiscent of our trainee days. We aimed to embody the same ambition, especially with this being our first comeback post-renewal.”
Last July, ATEEZ garnered attention by announcing a seven-year contract renewal with their current agency, KQ Entertainment. In response, Hongjoong expressed, “This is not only the first album released this year but also the first since renewing our contract, making it both nerve-wracking and exciting to prepare.”
Seonghwa also commented, “This is our first album release since renewing our contract, and it feels like we prepared with the mindset from seven years ago. We’ve poured our desperation into every album, and we continued that spirit to prepare this one, uniting tightly with the members.”
Additionally, regarding the ‘mindset from seven years ago,’ Yeosang added, “It was truly pure passion. If we can convey that spirit to ATINY (fandom name) through this activity, we plan to continue with passion this time as well.”
Debuting in 2018, ATEEZ has consistently released numerous albums and engaged in various activities. Especially beloved by the overseas K-pop fandom, ATEEZ saw their title track ‘Lemon Drop’ from their 12th mini-album ‘Golden Hour: Part.3,’ released last June, enter the U.S. Billboard Main Song Chart ‘Hot 100’ at No. 69, showcasing their elevated global status.
Discussing their various achievements and titles, Mingi pointed out that the ‘members’ energy’ is their greatest pride. “None of us ever said we wanted to stop or give up; we’ve always tried to move forward. The tightly-knit group has made us what we are today. That’s our biggest strength,” he said.
San added, “With each album release, I feel the number of ATINY fans growing. That love gives us the confidence to perform,” acknowledging the fans as their pride.
Prepared with the mindset from seven years ago, ATEEZ’s 13th mini-album ‘Golden Hour: Part.4,’ their first release after renewing their contract, will be available on February 6 at 2 PM KST.
