ATEEZ Members Address Military Enlistment: ‘A Duty to Fulfill When the Time Is Right’

ATEEZ

K-pop group ATEEZ discussed their plans for military enlistment.

ATEEZ, consisting of members Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho, held a press conference at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul Grand Ballroom in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their 13th mini-album, ‘GOLDEN HOUR: Part.4’.

Comprising eight members, with two born in 1998, five in 1999, and one in 2000, ATEEZ faces impending military enlistment. Under current military service law, enlistment is restricted after the age of 28, which suggests a wave of enlistments could begin next year.

Addressing questions about enlistment, Seonghwa stated, “For South Korean citizens, military service is an obvious duty.” He added, “The timing for enlistment will be based on each individual’s situation and will occur when the time is right.”

Seonghwa further elaborated, “Having recently renewed our contracts, we often envision ourselves after enlistment.” He affirmed, “We plan to diligently return after fulfilling our duties, regardless of the timing.”

Meanwhile, ATEEZ’s 13th mini-album, ‘GOLDEN HOUR: Part.4,’ is scheduled for release at 2 PM on the 6th.

With this new release, ATEEZ continues their ‘GOLDEN HOUR’ series, which captures dazzling moments. Through the album, they express a determination to move forward and hold onto their beliefs amidst the storm.

The title track, ‘Adrenaline,’ showcases ATEEZ’s explosive energy, reminiscent of a roaring engine.
