Singer Park Jae-jung and NMIXX’s Seol-yoon have teamed up for a duet.
Park Jae-jung, who solidified his position in traditional ballads with the 2023 hit ‘Let’s Break Up,’ is set to make his comeback after military discharge on the 25th with the duet ‘Just As It Is,’ featuring NMIXX’s Seol-yoon.
According to Park Jae-jung’s agency, Romantic Factory, Park wrote and composed ‘Just As It Is’ during his military service leave last year. He conceptualized the song as a duet with a female artist from the beginning. Park was impressed by Seol-yoon’s broadcast cover of ‘Let’s Break Up’ and proposed the collaboration, which she accepted, leading to this duet.
Park Jae-jung directly participated in directing Seol-yoon’s recording and reportedly praised her vocals enthusiastically on site.
‘Just As It Is’ is a quintessential pop ballad track that combines the emotional and powerful vocals of both artists with a splendid orchestral sound, showcasing the rare charm of a traditional male-female duet.
The duo Park Jae-jung and Park Hyun-jung, who created the 2023 hit ‘Let’s Break Up,’ also produced this song. Its heartfelt lyrics convey the desire for the pain of separation to linger, believing it should sometimes remain unforgettable, thus maximizing the song’s emotional depth and leaving a lasting impression.
