Singer G-Dragon held his first solo fan meeting since his debut, drawing around 40,000 fans over three days and uniting generations of fans known as ‘FAM’ into one family narrative.

The fan meeting took place from the 6th to the 8th of this month at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

For the first time since his debut, G-Dragon hosted a solo fan meeting, opting for a deeply interactive experience, closer to a ‘family gathering’ than a performance. The 360-degree open stage, eye contact with fans, and the journey between memories and the present clearly reflected his sincerity.

YouTuber Mimiminu hosted the event. A self-proclaimed true fan of G-Dragon, Mimiminu’s natural banter and engaging rapport with G-Dragon added to the lively atmosphere. During the exchange of fan meeting impressions and messages from FAMs, both became emotional, leaving a deep impression.

The performances thrilled fans from start to finish. G-Dragon kicked off the fan meeting by appearing atop a giant crown and performing ‘A Boy’, igniting the venue’s enthusiasm. During the performance of ‘Who You?’, he perfectly recreated the legendary stage from 2013’s ‘Inkigayo’ in white shirts, jeans, and a red cap, drawing cheers. He smoothly concluded the show with tracks ‘TAKE ME’ and ‘IBELONGIIU’ from his recent album ‘Übermensch’, leaving a lasting impact.

He also presented various gifts to fans during mini-games, showcasing ideal ‘reverse gifting’ and heating up the atmosphere. During the challenge segments, he skillfully took on challenges like ‘Doma’ and ‘CHANEL’, which fans had eagerly awaited. Particularly in ‘Overdrive’, known as the ‘Whining Challenge’, he showcased exceptional charm, captivating the audience by creatively using accessories and props and fully enjoying the moment.

The fan meeting provided immersive experiences to enjoy G-Dragon’s world with all senses. From the entrance, a daisy garden concept adorned the event space to welcome fans, and organizers provided daisy-themed walnut cakes beforehand, transforming the fan meeting into a festival-like affair. During the performance, video effects made fans feel like they were traveling up an ’88-floor elevator,’ making them feel a part of his universe. The event concluded as confetti, featuring G-Dragon’s handwriting and signature scent, scattered throughout the venue.

G-Dragon said, “I held a fan meeting as I welcomed new family after my comeback. I wanted to create a gathering like a family meeting for those who couldn’t join the tour. It felt like a wish list come true and was more enjoyable because we were together. I love you.” He continued, “The first official family meeting lasted three days, and it was a time of reconnection. As spring approaches, please relax along the path and wait.”

Finally, he shared his excitement about Big Bang’s upcoming 20th-anniversary comeback, saying, “As a member and a fan, I am looking forward to it as much as the other members.”

Meanwhile, G-Dragon will continue his solo fan meeting from the 13th to 15th at PIA ARENA MM in Yokohama, Japan, and from the 21st to 22nd in Bangkok, Thailand at BITEC to meet local fans.
