K-pop group IVE has taken another step in their growth, announcing a musical expansion.
On the 23rd, IVE held a showcase at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, celebrating the release of their second full-length album, ‘REVIVE+.’
The album features a variety of genres, including the double title tracks ‘BLACKHOLE’ and ‘BANG BANG,’ as well as ‘Hush,’ ‘Stuck In Your Head,’ ‘Fireworks,’ and ‘HOT COFFEE.’
Additionally, solo tracks for each member—Jang Wonyoung’s ‘8,’ Gaeul’s ‘Odd,’ Leeseo’s ‘Super ICY,’ Liz’s ‘Unreal,’ Rei’s ‘In Your Heart,’ and Ahn Yujin’s ‘Force’—demonstrate their broadened musical spectrum.

Liz explained, “In the past, our messages focused on ‘me,’ but this album expands from ‘me’ to ‘us.’ We made many new attempts both in performance and music. We hope listeners will view us from a new perspective.”
Jang Wonyoung shared, “We have often talked about ‘me’ and individuality. As IVE has grown, we’ve expanded the keyword from ‘me’ to ‘us,’ extending beyond IVE to include those who listen to our music. We hope you can share in this positive energy.”
Liz also expressed a desire for IVE to be known as artists whose next move is always anticipated. “While we have often had a princess-like image, we’ve made new attempts this time. Given the positive public response, we aim to continue embracing diverse challenges.”

Gaeul added, “As it’s a full-length album comeback, we wanted to show our changed and grown selves. We hope the expanded message of ‘me’ to ‘us’ will resonate with many people and listeners.”
IVE has also attempted more challenging performance transformations with this album. Liz mentioned, “Our performance approach marks a significant shift. In ‘BANG BANG,’ we performed with male dancers to present a stronger and more powerful image. ‘BLACKHOLE’ also includes stage production elements not previously used, marking a new direction for our activities.”
