BTS Grateful for Fans Filling Gwanghwamun Square: ‘We’re Happy to Be Together as Seven Again’

BTS shared their thoughts on performing as a complete group again for the first time in approximately four years.

On the 21st at 8 PM, ‘BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG’ was broadcast live globally via Netflix.

The performance began with a greeting of “Hello” from leader RM. BTS energized the atmosphere with songs from their newly released fifth album ‘Arirang’, starting with ‘Body to Body’, followed by ‘Hooligan’, and ‘2.0’.

After performing the three songs, BTS shouted “Hello, we are BTS,” with RM adding, “We’re greeting you for the first time in four years.”

Eldest member Jin expressed, “It’s incredible to gather as a group like this. I vividly recall asking you to wait during the Busan concert a few years ago. Thank you for coming. It was a journey to stand here, and I’m grateful and happy to see you all.”

Jimin shared his emotions, saying, “ARMY, we finally meet. I’m overwhelmed and thankful to be speaking to you here. Being together as seven again makes me so happy. I missed you. I truly didn’t expect Gwanghwamun Square to be filled today. I’m sincerely happy and grateful.”

Suga commented, “It’s an honor to perform at Gwanghwamun, Korea’s most historic place. We wanted to reflect our identity in this album, so we titled it ‘Arirang,’ and we brought that sentiment to this performance.”

V shared, “As Suga said, it’s a unique experience to return in such a special place. I hope our feelings reach our ARMY and the global audience watching through Netflix.”

J-Hope said in English, “I can’t believe all seven of us are here on this stage together. Thank you for waiting so long,” drawing enthusiastic cheers. Jungkook promised, “We’ve prepared many special things for today, and we’ll give it our all.”

RM concluded, “Look at this crowd. So many have come. Thank you to everyone here and those joining us through Netflix. It’s been a long journey, but we are finally here,” eliciting cheers.

Meanwhile, BTS, performing together for the first time in approximately three years and five months since ‘Yet to Come in BUSAN’ in October 2022, unveiled new songs, including the title track ‘SWIM’ from their fifth album ‘Arirang’.
