BTS member V reminisced about the early days when only a handful of fans attended their meetups.
On the 29th, the YouTube channel ‘Yojeong Jaehyung’ posted a video titled, ‘Hello, this is BTS’s V. Nice to meet you!’.
The video features BTS member V as a guest, following the group’s recent return as a complete unit for the first time in over three years.
Host Jae-hyung Jung remarked, “Debuting in 2013, it took until 2015 with ‘Fire’ before reaching great success. Initially, the company and others didn’t expect the immediate growth of the current fandom, ARMY.”

In response, V recalled, “Our first fan meeting had about 25 to 30 attendees, which was more than our member count at the time. It was incredibly touching to have people come just to see us during those obscure days.”
Jae-hyung Jung noted, “After ‘Fire,’ BTS truly took off, even reaching number one on the Oricon chart in Japan. ARMY’s support and activities played a huge part in this success.”
V expressed gratitude to the fans, stating, “It’s truly thanks to the fans’ passion and energy that we gained recognition. We just kept doing what we do, and it was the fans who spread the word.”
