TXT members Soobin and Yeonjun addressed an incident that had sparked fan concern regarding a rumored dispute.
On the 31st, a video titled ‘An Investigation into 8-year Idols’ Lyrics | EP. 133 TXT Soobin Yeonjun | Salon Drip’ was uploaded on the YouTube channel ‘TEO TEO.’
In this episode, Soobin and Yeonjun appeared as guests, sharing various stories with Jang Do-yeon.
Soobin stated, “I want to clear the air about our relationship.” He added, “Fans probably know this, but there was a period of awkwardness between us.” He directly addressed the rumors of a conflict.
The duo had previously sparked concern among fans due to their awkward interactions during team activities. Fans shared their worries and suspicions after watching the teaser that hinted at their revelation.
Yeonjun recalled, “After finishing my first solo album, I was stressed and had an identity crisis due to external comments. I experienced burnout for three months.”
He explained it was a time when he struggled to express himself to anyone, stating, “I didn’t talk to anyone and felt consumed by negative thoughts.” “Then I remembered Namjoon and sought his advice. Namjoon suggested facing the discomfort,” Yeonjun revealed, confirming he had spoken with BTS’s RM.
Yeonjun continued, “There was a period when Soobin and I were distant following a disagreement. I wanted to resolve it. I realized my mistake, so I approached Soobin first and suggested we grab a drink.”
Soobin recalled, “Whenever I approached him to talk, he seemed to erect a wall. However, during their drinks, Yeonjun opened up honestly for the first time in years,” Soobin added, “I ended up crying; his words moved me.”
Soobin noted that it had been a long time since they last drank together. “Whenever we fight and make up, we drink together. This wasn’t a one-time occurrence. I need to address issues immediately, but Yeonjun requires time. He always avoids me when I try to approach him,” Soobin shared.
Soobin admitted, “I tried giving him time, but it took too long. Six months passed, and he still wasn’t ready to talk. I told him he needed to learn to approach me in such situations.”
“But after 10 years of knowing Yeonjun, he finally approached me first,” Soobin added, expressing his surprise. “When I received his message, I spent two days pondering if I had done something wrong. But it turned out to be his moment to finally open up honestly.”
