SEVENTEEN Announces All 13 Members Renew Contracts, Surprising Fans at Concert

“The members had many deep conversations, and all 13 have decided to renew their contracts together.”

K-pop group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) announced plans to renew their contracts with their agency, bringing an emotional close to their seven-month world tour.

SEVENTEEN staged their ‘SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] ENCORE’ concert on April 4-5 at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. This concert marked the conclusion of their world tour, which had kicked off last September at the same venue.

Including the encore concert, they performed 31 shows across 14 cities worldwide, attracting over 900,000 attendees both online and offline.

The highlight was a surprise announcement on the final concert day. S.Coups declared, “We will continue to sail together in the same boat,” revealing they were renewing their contracts with HYBE’s music group label, PLEDIS Entertainment.

The venue erupted in cheers from fans. This moment brought to fruition their earlier promise: “SEVENTEEN will strive to come close to eternity with all 13 of us.”

SEVENTEEN cited their fandom, CARAT, as the main reason for their decision, stating, “We want to express our love to everyone. Please wait a little longer as we will return with all 13 of us soon.”

They also emphasized, “Just as a stronger life is born after flowers wither, so will SEVENTEEN. We will continue both unit and individual activities, always staying by CARAT.” Jeonghan and Wonwoo, currently fulfilling their military duties, also cheered from the audience, showcasing their strong bond.

The encore stage heightened anticipation and reached its peak of excitement. Even sudden rain at the end of the concert did not deter the members. They spontaneously selected songs like ‘Clap,’ ‘God of Music,’ and ‘Headliner’ to share a romantic moment with fans. Prior performances of ‘April shower,’ ‘_WORLD,’ ‘Whirlpool,’ and ‘Round and Round’ offered a glimpse into SEVENTEEN’s new beginning and an anticipated new world with CARAT, evoking a touching sense of emotion.

SEVENTEEN added hit songs like ‘Super’ and S.Coups and Mingyu’s ‘5, 4, 3 (Pretty woman) (feat. Lay Bankz),’ as well as DK and Seungkwan’s ‘Blue’ to the encore concert, proving their ever-expanding musical spectrum. In addition to genre-crossing solo performances, intense numbers like ‘THUNDER,’ ‘HOT,’ and ‘HIT,’ combined with vibrant band accompaniments and brilliant productions, offered audiences cathartic experiences.
