Three Audience Members Injured at Super Junior Concert, Agency ‘Feels Heavy Responsibility’

A safety fence collapsed during the encore performance of Super Junior’s 20th Anniversary World Tour ‘SUPER JUNIOR 20th Anniversary TOUR 〈SUPER SHOW 10〉 SJ’ at Seoul’s KSPO DOME (formerly Gymnastics Stadium) on April 5, injuring three audience members.

Super Junior’s agency, SM Entertainment, stated on April 6, “The injured were immediately transported to the hospital for necessary examinations and treatment, and were diagnosed with sprains and bruises requiring two weeks of rest and treatment.”

The agency further apologized, stating, “We deeply apologize to the victims and their families for this incident, and we will support the injured audience members to recover completely, making every effort until they are fully healed.”

They added, “As the organizer of the concert, we feel a heavy responsibility for this accident, and we will ensure thorough safety inspections and audience safety management to prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future.”

Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

We would like to provide information concerning the accident that occurred during the SUPER JUNIOR 20th Anniversary TOUR 〈SUPER SHOW 10〉 SJ – CORE in SEOUL on April 5.

During the final encore performance, a safety fence installed beside the audience area collapsed, causing three audience members to fall and sustain injuries. The injured were immediately transported to the hospital for necessary examinations and treatment and were diagnosed with sprains and bruises requiring two weeks of rest and treatment.

We deeply apologize to the victims and their families for this incident, and we will support the injured audience members to recover completely, making every effort until they are fully healed.
