
Actor Ahn Bo-hyun dazzled at the Cannes International Series Festival, proving his prowess as a global star.
On the 24th (local time), Ahn attended the 9th Cannes International Series Festival in the southern French city of Cannes. He drew intense spotlight from international media and fans.
The Cannes Series, an esteemed festival affiliated with the Cannes Film Festival, features outstanding drama and series content distinguished by its commercial success and artistic merit. Ahn visited Cannes as the lead of JTBC’s new drama “The Divine Bead,” which was selected for the non-competitive “Rendez-Vous” section.

At the photocall, which kicked off the official schedule of Cannes Series, Ahn displayed a graceful demeanor against the backdrop of Cannes’ blue beach, drawing a flurry of camera shutters.
During the official screening, stage greetings, and a Q&A session at the Palais des Festivals, he shared insights about the project, closely engaging with global fans.
The thunderous applause that filled the auditorium right after the screening attested to Ahn’s passionate performance captivating local audiences beyond language barriers.
Ahn’s presence shone even more on the pink carpet, the highlight of the festival.
Dressed in a black tuxedo exuding restrained sexiness and classic charm, Ahn radiated charm with his warm visuals, easy smile, and gentle hand waves, responding to the local media.

Notably, numerous fans on the streets of Cannes chanted his name and greeted him in Korean, a heartwarming scene from which Ahn reportedly couldn’t hide his joy.
Having successfully completed his Cannes schedule, Ahn plans to focus on filming the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Flex X Cop 2.”
Starting with this year’s “Spring Fever,” followed by “Flex X Cop 2” and “The Divine Bead,” Ahn’s busy schedule crossing genres is building anticipation among domestic and international fans.
Ahn will showcase another transformation in “The Divine Bead,” set to air in the second half of 2026.
