2PM’s Taecyeon, a newlywed, is embroiled in a privacy breach controversy after private wedding photos circulated online.
Images from Taecyeon’s April 24 wedding recently circulated on Chinese social media and online communities.
The photos show Taecyeon and his bride with linked arms, gazing at each other, or with their faces close together.
The wedding was held privately to protect the non-celebrity bride’s privacy, sparking controversy over the images’ release.
Initially, claims circulated that a Chinese tourist secretly infiltrated the event. However, reports later indicated that a hotel guest witnessed the wedding through a window and subsequently realized it was Taecyeon’s.
Criticism continues as the bride’s face appears in the photos without mosaic editing, raising significant privacy concerns.

Meanwhile, on April 24, Taecyeon married his non-celebrity girlfriend, four years his junior, at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul.
His 2PM bandmates — Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, Junho, and Chansung — performed congratulatory songs. Chansung, the group’s first married member, also hosted the ceremony, showcasing their strong bond.
Taecyeon quietly nurtured his relationship after publicly acknowledging it in 2020. Last November, he announced in a letter, “I have promised to spend my life with the one person who has understood and believed in me for a long time. We will support each other and walk through life together.”
After winning the Best Actor Award in a Long Drama for ‘I Took the Male Lead’s First Night’ at the 2025 KBS Drama Awards, Taecyeon publicly thanked his fiancée, even mentioning her name: “Jihye, I love you.”
