TVXQ expressed gratitude to their long-time fans after concluding the first performance celebrating their 20th anniversary in Japan.

On April 25, TVXQ met with the press after opening their 20th-anniversary concert, “RED OCEAN.”

The “TVXQ 20th Anniversary LIVE IN NISSAN STADIUM ~RED OCEAN~” concert was held at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on April 25 and 26.

Returning to Nissan Stadium, Japan’s iconic large venue, after eight years, the event drew 130,000 spectators over two days, setting a record as the first foreign artist to achieve this milestone.

On the first day, Changmin expressed, “I thought of standing here again, and it feels like a dream.” He told reporters, “I wondered if I could return to this stage.”

He continued, “I know popularity cannot last forever. I questioned if I would ever perform again in such a large venue as Nissan Stadium. It’s truly meaningful to share this special time with our fans on our 20th anniversary, and I am incredibly grateful to them.”

During the first day’s performance, Yunho became emotional during “Asu wa Kuru Kara” and was unable to sing a section of the song.

Looking at the fans with warm eyes, Yunho said, “Standing here at Nissan Stadium again, it feels overwhelming. There were several moments today when fans in front were crying or smiling brightly, which made me tear up.”

He added, “The stadium’s size is impressive, but our fans are truly warmhearted. That’s why these emotions came over me.” He expressed gratitude to the approximately 70,000 fans.

Since their Japanese debut in 2006, TVXQ has drawn over 6.31 million spectators to 265 concerts in Japan alone.

However, Yunho humbly added, “This is all thanks to our fans, and I believe we have been fortunate. We will continue to do our best.”
