Netflix’s reality dating series ‘Single’s Inferno’ Season 5 has once again captivated audiences worldwide.
The production team’s intense new formula for excitement proved successful for ‘Single’s Inferno’ Season 5. The unprecedented boldness and confidence of the singles, along with their non-stop flirtatious interactions, generated an enthusiastic response just two weeks into its release.
According to Netflix’s TOP 10 website on January 28, ‘Single’s Inferno’ Season 5 entered the global TOP 10, recording 4.6 million views (calculated by dividing total viewing time by the show’s total running time, for the period of January 19 to 25) and 23.6 million viewing hours.
In addition to ranking second on Netflix’s Global Top 10 list for TV (Non-English) shows, it also appeared on the Top 10 lists in 32 countries, including South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Japan, and Singapore, showcasing the series’ record-breaking success for a dating reality show.
Episodes 5 to 7, released on January 27, depicted an even more intense ‘Inferno’ following a stormy truth game, as highlighted by host Kyuhyun’s remark, “Everyone is confused.” The tense battle for love, fueled by tangled emotions, escalated dramatically, especially with the unexpected arrival of two new participants, dubbed ‘twin meteors,’ into the ‘Inferno’.
Notably, the relentless rivalry between Kim Min-ji and Choi Min-ah marked the beginning of the ‘Queens’ War,’ while Kim Go-eun was intensely pursued by Shin Hyun-woo, Woo Sung-min, and Jo Yi-geon, continuing to shake up the love-line dynamics.
The singles’ love lines shifted constantly, and their unpredictable choices, which even prompted the strong-hearted Dex to declare “I surrender,” offered excitement and dopamine unique to ‘Single’s Inferno’.
Meanwhile, episodes 8 to 10 of ‘Single’s Inferno’ Season 5 will be available exclusively on Netflix starting February 3.
