Actress Kim Ji-eun will transform into Kim Hee-ae’s daughter in ‘Gold Digger’.
Xportsnews reports that Kim Ji-eun will join JTBC’s new drama ‘Gold Digger’, taking on the role of Kim Hee-ae’s eldest daughter.
‘Gold Digger’ is an adaptation of the UK BBC series of the same name. The original series follows Julia, a wealthy divorcée who meets 33-year-old Benjamin on her 60th birthday, leading to unexpected events.
The series gained attention for its striking storyline featuring a 27-year age gap between the protagonists. Kang Eun-kyung, known for ‘Bread, Love and Dreams’ and the ‘Dr. Romantic’ series, is co-writing the Korean adaptation with Seon-young, writer of JTBC’s ‘Forecasting Love and Weather’.
Kim Hee-ae takes on the female lead, with Roh Sang-hyun set to play the male lead. Viewers are eager to see the dramatic older woman-younger man romance between Kim Hee-ae, returning to TV dramas for the first time since ‘The World of the Married’, and her younger co-star, Roh Sang-hyun.
