Disney+ has unveiled two posters for the upcoming series ‘Climax,’ set for release on the 16th. These posters hint at the desires and relationships of characters racing towards power, further building anticipation for the series.
‘Climax’ follows prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, who enters a power cartel in his bid to reach Korea’s top position, and the intense survival game of those around him. Starring top actors like Ju Ji-hoon, Ha Ji-won, Nana, Oh Jung-se, and Cha Joo-young, the series is already generating significant buzz with its gripping storyline.
The two released posters effectively capture the ambitions and growing tensions among characters striving for power. The main poster, featuring five characters with intense gazes looking in different directions, heralds their fierce survival saga. Ju Ji-hoon portrays prosecutor ‘Bang Tae-seop’ with unwavering ambition, as suggested by the copy, “It’s a war that’s already begun, and I’ve got the keys.” Actress ‘Chu Sang-ah’ (Ha Ji-won) portrays a character teetering on the edge of choice to maintain her top position, a sentiment the copy echoes, “I’d rather shatter than wither.”
“What’s wrong with living dirty in a dirty world?” asks ‘Hwang Jung-won’ (Nana) with a sharp gaze, displaying a dangerous resolve to disrupt the status quo. Oh Jung-se’s ‘Kwon Jong-wook’ reveals a raw ambition for the throne amidst a chaebol succession war and raises the tension with his declaration, “I plan to add fuel to your news.” Lastly, Cha Joo-young’s ‘Lee Yang-mi’ states, “I detest being manipulated by anyone,” foreshadowing an imminent clash of ambitions.
The special poster highlights the prominent presence of ‘Bang Tae-seop’ in the center. His poised look at higher ground symbolically represents a character who has already crossed the threshold of power. The conflicting gazes of those around him illustrate the true nature of a power cartel, where differing interests and desires intersect. The copy, “As you fall, aim higher; as you yearn, reach the climax,” hints at a storyline intertwined with power, love, faith, and betrayal.
‘Climax,’ portraying the peak of ambition surrounding Korea’s highest power, will air every Monday and Tuesday on Disney+ starting the 16th.
