K-pop group aespa reflected on the conclusion of their first dome tour, which culminated with a third concert at Tokyo Dome.

The ‘2026 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : aeXIS LINE – in JAPAN [SPECIAL EDITION DOME TOUR]’ took place on the 25th and 26th of this month at Tokyo Dome in Japan, drawing a massive audience.

After successfully concluding the final performance of their dome tour, which spanned from Kyocera Dome to Tokyo Dome, aespa met with the press.

aespa's third Tokyo Dome concert

The group showcased their immense popularity by filling the Tokyo Dome, which boasts a capacity of 94,000, for two days, marking their third successful engagement at the venue.

Karina shared her thoughts, stating, “We performed after a long time, and the audience filling the Tokyo Dome looked at us with bright and eager eyes, which made it truly enjoyable.”

For this performance, Karina and Winter, along with Giselle and Ningning, prepared unit stages exclusively for the dome tour. Fans’ enthusiastic cheers during the set featuring past title tracks were particularly impressive.

The members noted, “Our fans are always loud with their cheers,” and proudly added, “The fans’ chants in Korean, which they memorized and followed along with, were also incredibly loud.”

Karina and Winter, both Korean, and Ningning, who is Chinese, prepared Japanese speeches for the performances, enabling them to communicate with fans without an interpreter.

Despite initial awkwardness, Ningning completed her Japanese speech, revealing, “I studied (Japanese) until this morning. I’m working hard.” She even shared the language app she uses, adding a touch of humor.

Giselle, being Japanese, received particularly warm cheers from the local fans.

Performing at a venue she once visited as an audience member, Giselle expressed, “I have watched performances at Tokyo Dome before, but being able to perform here myself is such an honor. It’s still amazing to see the venue filled every time. I am particularly touched when fans organize slogan events during encores,” she said, overwhelmed with emotion.

Having just wrapped up their dome tour, aespa plans to release their second full album, ‘LEMONADE,’ on May 29. They have also announced a new world tour set to kick off in Seoul on August 7 and 8.

Excited for the new beginning, aespa stated, “With unwavering passion for music, we will continue to work hard as we always have. Please look forward to our new full album!”
