Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Big Bang has once again cemented their presence on the global stage, building excitement for their activities throughout the year.
On April 19 (local time), Big Bang officially announced their 20th anniversary world tour plans at the ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ in Indio, California, one of the largest music festivals worldwide.
Through two performances, they showcased their enduring skills, and G-Dragon personally revealed that “Big Bang’s 20th anniversary world tour is set to begin this August,” drawing enthusiastic cheers from the global audience.

The announcement at Coachella, one of the world’s largest music festivals, held particular significance and impact. Despite it being the group’s first stage in a long time, they ranked as the 5th most searched artist at the 2026 Coachella, and major global media outlets like Forbes, Billboard, and the LA Times highly praised their performance, reaffirming their unchanging popularity.
Big Bang debuted on August 19, making the launch of their world tour in the same month as their 20th anniversary highly symbolic. As an artist that has long represented YG’s musical identity, this 20th-anniversary tour is expected to further solidify their presence in the global market.

In line with Big Bang’s momentum, YG’s key artists are also unveiling new activities. Baby Monster is set to release their third mini-album ‘CHOOM’ on May 4, followed by their second world tour in June. Treasure also announced the release of new music and their third fan concert in June, joining the comeback lineup. Additionally, the launch of a new boy group planned for this year could naturally extend Big Bang’s influence across YG’s entire lineup.
Industry observers speculate that Big Bang’s 20th anniversary could provide significant momentum for YG as a whole. The industry is watching to see whether YG, celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Big Bang, marking their 20th, can usher in a new golden era by combining the symbolism of existing artists with the growth of next-generation lineups.
