The Tokyo Dome in Japan echoed with the melody of the Korean folk song ‘Arirang’.
BTS successfully concluded their world tour ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN TOKYO’ on April 17 and 18 at the Tokyo Dome.
This marked the group’s return to the Tokyo Dome, seven years and five months after their ‘BTS WORLD TOUR LOVE YOURSELF ~JAPAN EDITION~’ in November 2018. All tickets for the two performances sold out well in advance, attracting 110,000 spectators over two days.
The audience created an impressive sight, waving their light sticks in unison.
During ‘Not Today’ and ‘MIC Drop’, resounding cheers filled the dome. The highlight was the performance of ‘Body to Body’, a track from their new album ‘ARIRANG’. When the melody of ‘Arirang’ played during the performance, everyone sang along.
Bang Si-hyuk had earlier predicted that the ‘Arirang’ sing-along would be the most ‘iconic moment’ of this tour at overseas venues. The members couldn’t hide their emotional expressions as they cherished the audience’s voices.

The audience also sang along to every word of the global hits ‘Butter’ and ‘Dynamite’. Their collective chorus, complementing BTS’s voices, intensified the concert’s fervor.
During the ‘random song’ segment, where the group sang previously released songs impromptu, they performed tracks from their Japanese singles, such as ‘Crystal Snow’ from 2017 and ‘FOR YOU’ from 2015.
As these were original Japanese songs for local fans, the venue resonated deeply. The members moved around the stage, making eye contact with fans and repeatedly saying, “It’s been so long since we sang this. It feels great.”
BTS delivered most of their comments fluently in the local language, read heartfelt letters they had prepared, and expressed their sincerity.
They said, “Despite the long time since we last met, you responded with the same cheers and smiles, and gave us strength. We missed you.” They shared, “We often visit Tokyo and imagine living here while walking its streets. We are so happy and honored to be back. Thank you for waiting for us, and we truly love you.”
Having completed their performances in Tokyo, BTS will move to the United States to continue their tour. They are set to meet their fans at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on April 25, 26, and 28.
