IU has admitted to having disappointing cooking skills.
On the 15th, singer and actress IU appeared as a guest on Chef An Sung-jae’s YouTube channel ‘Chef An Sung-jae.’
In the video, IU attempted the late-night snack ‘Soft Tofu Cheese Pancake,’ which is light and easy to eat.
When asked if she had seen ‘Chef An Sung-jae,’ IU replied, “It’s quite a sensation, isn’t it? Almost everyone has seen it,” adding, “I really enjoyed the ‘Du Jjon Ku’ special episode featuring a very famous child.”
She continued, “I’m not very talented in cooking, but I watch to satisfy my curiosity and also to learn.”

Before cooking, IU seemed to lack confidence.
IU confessed, “I used to make stews and braised chicken at home. When I made a lot, I’d offer it to my family, but they wouldn’t eat it,” eliciting laughter.
She added, “Everyone in my family is good at cooking except me, so I think it’s just how I am. I’ve stopped cooking for a while now, and I mainly eat ramen at home.”
As her favorite food, she mentioned ‘ramen,’ saying, “I can’t eat ramen all the time, so I only eat it when I really can’t resist.”
At the end of the video, IU expressed her gratitude, saying, “Despite my limited cooking skills, I made this for you today, and you enjoyed it so much while giving me great coaching.”
